CELLULOSICS

Aqualon™ /Blanose™ cellulose gum, or sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), is widely used as an economical thickener and stabilizer in foods and beverages. Besides modifying the behavior of water, cellulose gum is useful in suspending solids and modifying the flow and texture.

Benecel™ modified celluloses, also known as methylcellulose (MC) and hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC), are versatile, multifunctional food gums.  Benecel MC and HPMC perform many functions in foods, depending on type, grade, use level, and conditions. Among these functions are thermal gelation, film formation, thickening, binding, and water retention.

SWEETENERS

We can offer a range of modulation technologies and sweetener blends. Sucralose is a non-caloric, high-intensity sweetener derived from real sugar through a multi-step process. It is 600 times sweeter than sugar. It is a non-nutritive sugar alternative and safe for use as a sweetening ingredient.

Sucralose is very stable in a wide range of pH values from acidity to neutrality. Its thermal stability is much better than any other high intensity sweeteners. The solubility of sucralose in 20℃ water is 28.2g/100ml and it increases as the temperature rises. Sucralose also has an excellent solubility in ethanol, which makes it suitable for alcohol beverage production

SPECIALITY POWDERED INGREDIENTS

Amtec is a leading producer of powdered specialty food ingredients, many of which can be found in a kitchen cupboard: honey, mustard, molasses, Worcester sauce and vinegars.

The entire line of Amtec products can be used in snack foods where liquids can’t be used, such as balsamic vinegar chips, salt and vinegar chips, honey mustard pretzels, honey roasted peanuts. The Amtec line can also enhance the flavours of sauces, dressings and savoury dips.
